Born and raised in New Jersey, Katie graduated high school from Delaware Valley Regional and went on to pursue dental assisting at Rutgers School of Health Related Professions, formerly University of Medicine and Dentistry. Upon completion of dental assisting school and acquiring her state license as both a certified and registered dental assistant, she went on to continue at Rutgers to complete her associate of applied science and receive her dental hygiene license, all while working locally as a surgical dental assistant. As a surgical dental assistant, Katie realized her deep compassion for patients in her care and sees the importance of making patients feel comfortable in the dental setting. While she still loves and admires the surgical and implant aspects of dentistry, has since acquired an additional love of periodontal therapy. With efforts to stay on the cutting edge of dentistry, she is always reading and continuing her education on latest technologies and home care products in order to help educate the patients at Trecartin Family Dentistry. She truly enjoys helping patients by providing the highest standard of care to ensure patient health and happiness.
In her spare time, Katie enjoys spending time with her husband and their two children. She enjoys watching her daughter's soccer games and watching her toddler son learn and grow. In the spring and summer, she enjoys the jersey shore (especially Cape May) and is looking forward to fishing on their newly acquired boat.
